City Hall on Tour – Lake Vista Rec Center, September 19th at 5:30 pm

Join Mayor Ken Welch and his City Leadership team for a quarterly City Hall Tour event held at rotating City of St. Petersburg Recreation Facilities.

This is a family-friendly event. The Recreation Centers will be open for normal business, so youth programming will be available throughout the evening.
Stop 3: September 19, 2023 | 5:30-8 p.m. | Lake Vista Recreation Center | 1401 62nd Ave S, 33705

Lateral Line Rehab Rebate Still Available

Just a reminder that monies are still available.  Please share with neighbors!

Lateral Line Rehab Rebates Available

The City of St. Petersburg’s Lateral Line Rehabilitation Rebate Project enables select property owners in Greater Pinellas Point and Maximo Moorings to repair faulty privately-owned lateral lines (the pipe that connects private residences to the City’s sewer system) that may be contributing to sewer overflows and backups.

The properties in the attached map are eligible for rebates for a limited time on a first-come, first-served basis:

  • Up to $800 for a private lateral line inspection
  • Up to an additional $8,000 for private lateral line rehabilitation work

Inspections are still taking place and involve little to no contact. Find more information and register at www.stpete.org/laterallines. Questions can be directed to the Water Resources Department at 727-893-7261.

Maximo Moorings Air Quality Update

The City of St Petersburg Water Resources Group has acknowledged the current air quality issue within our neighborhood stemming from the water treatment plant across the street.

Please click here for a detailed explanation as well as FAQs.

Residents are encouraged to continue to use the See Click Fix app or the Issue Reporting Center on our website as a tool to communicate non-emergency issues to the City.

There are also several Maximo ‘Watch Areas’ set up in See Click Fix that Maximo residents can follow, if they would like to do so. https://seeclickfix.com/watchers/94192 or https://seeclickfix.com/watch_area/51275.

If you have questions regarding this communication, they can be funneled through Susan Russo who is our Public Relations Director on the Maximo Board (PR@maximo-moorings.com) and she will get the FAQs updated with the City’s responses.

Thank you,

Maximo Board

34th Street South Workshop

As part of its US 19 corridor vision initiative, Forward Pinellas is working with the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT)City of St. Petersburg, and the Skyway Marina District to evaluate the concept of repurposing the outside lanes of 34th Street from 22nd Avenue South to 54th Avenue South for bus use and business access. This would be implemented as part of an FDOT resurfacing project scheduled for construction in 2022.
